Eco-industrial park as a development vector for the Terezyne Industrial Park

The Terezyne Industrial Park has joined an important stage in the development of eco-industrial parks in Ukraine — the planning and design of new modern industrial ecosystems.

Turning an eco-industrial park into reality takes years of work, considerable funding and dozens of correct decisions. And to make sure those years and funds are not spent in vain, the right foundation has to be laid from the very beginning.

This was the focus of the four-day practical training “Planning and designing new eco-industrial parks in Ukraine”, delivered by the Global Eco-Industrial Parks Programme II – Country-Level Intervention in Ukraine (GEIPP-II Ukraine). The training took place on 13–16 July in Lviv.

Together with developers, park management companies and development agencies we discussed the key decisions that determine the fate of a future park — because an eco-industrial park is not a “green status” on paper, but a business model that makes the park competitive and attractive to investors.
